Purple Cherry Architects is working with ARC of Central Chesapeake, a non-profit organization that supports and provides housing for adults with developmental disabilities, with interior renovations to existing duplex units as well as a new exterior ramp. Each unit has a common kitchen on each level accessed by the residents of the opposite unit through a fire-rated door. Interior work also includes the conversion of the unfinished garage bay to a new living room with a kitchen. This associated unit also will have a new ADA bathroom. Exterior work includes a new access door through the area of the existing garage door along with a new egress window and other minor changes for increased curb appeal.
