This 11,500 SF house was enlarged from a charming, 100-year old 3,400 SF two-story Colonial Revival sited on a 1½ acre waterfront lot with sweeping views down to the Severn River. The original house was gutted and now forms the central core of the new house. Several wings have been added off the main house. A small wing off the formal dining room includes a library with a master bedroom suite above. The largest wing contains a new kitchen with custom cabinets and a large island that separates the casual dining room. A large open arch separates the casual dining room from the family room, the focal point of which is a fireplace flanked by custom built-in cabinets. the upper floor of the large wing contains four bedrooms and a homework room. The expanisve plan was designed to support the lcients five young children and to provide the organization needed to manage this large family.
