Private Waterfront Residence North Beach Haven, NJ

This 3,500 SF beach cottage was designed to stay in keeping with other homes in this traditional beach community. The existing house was torn down and the original foundation expanded to the side and rear, wrapping around the in-ground pool. In order to keep the height of the new house on the same scale as adjacent homes, the roofline was kept low. Large forward facing gables on the front and side and shed dormers in the rear allowed for expansive living space on the second floor. Decorative brackets, large overhangs, window boxes, stained wood shakes and standing seam copper roof pans help give this home a true cottage ambiance.
