November 18, 2009

Annapolis, MD  November 18, 2009 - The Maryland Department of General Services (DGS) has selected Purple Cherry Architects, an Annapolis, MD-based design firm, to conduct a feasibility study that may lead to the expansion of the Maryland State Archives (MSA) building in Annapolis.  The firm will review MSA's program requirements and other record drawings and documents and will provide conceptual ideas for review by DGS and MSA.  "We're looking forward to working with MSA and DGS on this study and hope our report will help guide them in the direction needed to preserve Maryland's historical records dating back to 1634.  We're proud to be part of their team." said Ms. Cathy Purple Cherry, AIA, LEED AP, Principal and Owner of the firm.
